The grounds of Ramadevi public school buzzed with unparalleled energy and competitive spirit as it proudly hosted the much-anticipated Zonal Athletics Sports Meet on 22ndJuly, 2025 and 23rdJuly, 2025. This grand event brought together talented young athletes from 18 schools across zone C and D, all vying for top honors and a chance to showcase their athletic prowess.

The Flame of Inspiration: A Torch Run by National-Level Athletes

The Zonal Athletics Meet began with a truly inspiring and symbolic torch run, setting a powerful tone for the days of competition ahead. Esteemed CISCE national-level athletes, and SGFI athletes graced the occasion by carrying the flame. In a captivating relay, they passed the torch, each step symbolizing the enduring spirit of sportsmanship, dedication, and the pursuit of excellence. This powerful display served as a profound source of motivation, igniting the competitive fire and inspiring all budding athletes and attendees present.

A Grand Opening: Inspiring Words and Celebratory Beginnings

Following the ceremonial torch run, the meet officially commenced with a vibrant opening ceremony. The skies above Ramadevi public school were painted with tricolor as hundreds of balloons were released, soaring high to mark the grand inauguration of the meet and symbolize the aspirations of all participants and hoisting of national flag, council flag , and the school flag filled the athletes with a sense of patriotism, unity, feeling of oneness .This was followed by a spectacular march past by participating schools and an inspiring oath administered to all athletes, emphasizing fair play and sportsmanship. Our esteemed Head Boy, Head Girl, and their deputies, along with our dedicated prefects, were prominently present, assisting with the smooth flow of the ceremony and embodying the school's leadership in action. The ceremony was further graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, who delivered motivating speeches to inaugurate the event. Our revered Principal Mrs.Qamar sultana extended a warm welcome to all participating schools, coaches, and athletes. In their address, the Principal highlighted the importance of sports in fostering holistic development, stressing values such as discipline, perseverance, and teamwork.Following this, our esteemed Trustee, Mr. Ravi Chandrasekhar, addressed the gathering. The Trustee emphasized the school's unwavering commitment to promoting sports and extracurricular activities, reiterating the belief that physical fitness is as crucial as academic excellence for a well-rounded personality. Their words served as a powerful encouragement for all participants to pursue their passions with dedication.The final address was delivered by our Chief Guest, Mrs.Teresa, regional sports coordinator, Hyderabad and Principal of St.Joseph public school, Habsiguda. The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of Ramadevi public school in organizing such a significant zonal event and shared inspiring anecdotes from the real experiences of Olympians , urging the young athletes to embrace challenges, learn from victories and defeats and always maintain true sportsmanship. Their speech resonated deeply, igniting a fervent competitive spirit among the attendees. Over the course of 2 days, the track and field events witnessed thrilling competitions in a wide array of disciplines, including sprints, long-distance races, relays, long jump, high jump, shot put, and discus throw, etc

Highlights and Outstanding Performances

Students demonstrated exceptional dedication and rigorous training, pushing their limits in every event. The air was filled with cheer from enthusiastic spectators – fellow students, teachers who rallied behind their respective schools, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Several athletes delivered remarkable performances, setting new personal bests. The meet wasn't just about winning; it was also a testament to the hard work, perseverance, and sportsmanship exhibited by every participant. Even those who didn't win medals gained invaluable experience and demonstrated true grit.

Student Initiative: Food Stalls Add Flavor to the Meet

Adding another layer of vibrancy to the event, students took the initiative to set up innovative food stalls throughout the meet in the premises. This entrepreneurial endeavor provided a delightful array of refreshments, snacks, and local delicacies, catering to the appetites of athletes and visitors alike. The stalls were not only a convenient option for quick bites but also fostered a sense of community and provided valuable experience for the students involved in managing their ventures. Their enthusiastic efforts ensured that everyone stayed energized and refreshed throughout the action-packed days.

Champions' Reign: Zonal Athletics Conquered

Ramadevi public school showcased an exceptional overall performance at the Zonal Athletics Meet. Our athletes displayed remarkable talent and unwavering determination across various events, leading to overall champions winners in the category of under-17 Boys, overall champions runner-ups in the category of under-14 boys and girls, under-17 girls,under-19 boys and I proudly state that out of 17 events with 72 participants,. Our school athletes have bought 34 Gold medals, 50 Silver medals, 16 Bronze medals .This collective success is a resounding testament to the hard work, rigorous training , resilience and indomitable spirit of our athletes and their dedicated coaches. Their achievements have brought immense pride and recognition to our school.

We also commend the students for their fantastic initiative with the food stalls, which greatly enhanced the event's atmosphere.
