80th Independence Day Celebration

Ramadevi Public School celebrated the 80th Independence Day with immense patriotic fervour, enthusiasm and pride on 15 August 2026 at the Central Lawn. The celebration brought together students from Nursery to Class X, teachers, NCC cadets, student leaders and a large number of distinguished alumni, making the occasion a memorable celebration of India's freedom and the school's enduring legacy.

The programme commenced with the melodious rendition of “Vande Mataram”, followed by the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag by Mrs. Qamar Sultana, Principal, accompanied by the National Flag salute. The presence of the entire school community created an atmosphere of pride, unity and patriotism.

Master Uttkarsh Singh, Head Boy of Class X-D, delivered an inspiring speech on the “Role of Youth in Today’s Freedom,” while Miss Gayathri Akshara, Head Girl of Class X-B, spoke on the “Impact of Freedom Fighters,” paying tribute to the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for India's independence.

The students presented a vibrant series of cultural performances reflecting India's rich heritage, unity and patriotic spirit — from the patriotic song “Bharat Vande Mataram” and the skit “Unity in Diversity” to “Tiranga,” the dance “Little Heart – Love for India,” the mime “A Journey to Freedom,” and a spectacular “Wings of Patriotism” mash-up dance by the Middle School students.

A particularly significant highlight was the presence of numerous alumni of Ramadevi Public School, whose participation created a meaningful connection between the school's past and present and inspired students with real-life examples of perseverance and achievement.

The Principal, Mrs. Qamar Sultana, reminded students that freedom is not merely a privilege but also a responsibility, encouraging them to uphold the values of unity, discipline, integrity, respect and service. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, sung by all present.
