Foundational Wing of Ramadevi Public School observed ‘Eco Day – No Bag Day’ based on the theme “One Earth One Voice” on 25th July 2025Friday. The event aimed to raise awareness about environment, instill eco – consciousness, responsibility, teamwork, practical life skills and encourage students to adopt eco – friendly practices.

We have planned age – appropriate activities from Nursery to Class 2, and involved the students to take part in all the activities.

Eco Day was started with a “Green Assembly” by Class 2 students, playing a skit on Severn Suzuki: The girl who spoke for the Earth and a Role Play on Famous Indian Eco activists. The event fostered a sense of responsibility among students and inspired them to adopt eco – friendly habits in their daily lives. Classes 1 and 2 students pledged to reduce plastic usage, conserve water, and plant more trees. Children were enthusiastically participated in Plant – a – sapling activity. Pre – Primary children with a slogan ‘Go Green – Go Plastic Free’ were taken to a Nature Walk and recited a rhymeon ‘Plastic Bag and Paper Bag’ to make them understand the effects of using plastic.

The day was filled with various activities designed to engage students and promote environmental awareness like singing Nature Song, preparing a beautiful My Nature Card, Mandala Art with different coloured leaves, Leaf Dabbing, Upcycling Art, Craft – Tiger with a slogan ‘Save Tigers’, and finally with a Recycle Race game where students sorted items and learned about recycling in a fun way.

The celebration was concluded with a great spirit of change, hope and taken an oath that we all will take care of our planet and encourage others to do the same.
