Leadership training programme

A Leadership Programme (LeaP) for school prefects was conducted on 28th June, 2025 to equip them with essential skills and knowledge to effectively fulfill their roles.

The programme was initiated with an invocation song by Ms. Taansi, Deputy Head, Academics followed by a welcome note by Mrs. Poojitha, Academic Co-ordinator, High school. She welcomed our esteemed Resource Person, Alumnus of RPS Dr.Namratha.

Dr.Namratha handled the session with great enthusiasm and professionalism. She has conducted various group activities like ‘Dilemma’ giving different Dilemmas motivating students to come up with various solutions.

She also discussed various Leadership traits like empathy, vision, adaptability and support.

The Programme continued with a ritual of Planting Saplings by Head boy and Head Girl, Deputies along with resource person, principal, academic co-ordinators, House Masters and Teachers.

Dr. Namratha , also motivated prefects to continue their learning while leading. She inspired them by sharing her own experiences as a Prefect and clarified all the doubts of our Young Leaders.

The Morning Session ended with a Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Roseline, Krishna House Master.

As a Token of appreciation A Momento and a Sapling was presented to Resource Person by our Principal.

The afternoon session “The Leader Within” was conducted by Mrs. Pratima, Ganga House Master and Mr. Pavan Kumar, Yamuna House Master. They motivated them with various activities and helped them gain Leadership Skills.

Later, The session “Speak to Lead, Lead with Purpose was conducted by Mrs. Shashirekha, Kaveri House Master and Mrs. Roseline, Krishna House Master. The Resource Persons discussed What is Leadership, Why Leadership is important for Students, challenges in Leadership and Responsibilities of a Prefects and How to balance peer pressure, studies and responsibilities etc...

Young Leaders participated in all the activities with great spirit of Joy and discipline.

The Participation certificates were awarded to all the Participants by our Principal Mrs. Qamar Sultana. She also reminded the prefects their duties and responsibilities.

The most enthusiastic programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Mrs. ShashiRekha, followed by the National Anthem.
