To foster leadership skills and a sense of responsibility among students, the Class Monitors Orientation Programme was conducted on 26/07/2025 at school in Assembly hall. The objective of the programme was to equip newly selected class monitors,assistant monitors and prefects with the essential skills and knowledge required to effectively fulfill their roles.
The session began with an introduction of the students' leaders and welcoming them to the team of leaders by the Academic co-ordinator Mrs Poojitha. They were told about the importance of student leadership in creating a positive and disciplined learning environment. Mrs Bahumathi, facilitator from the Chemistry department, explained the roles and responsibilities of monitors, which included assisting teachers, maintaining discipline, promoting class unity, and serving as a link between students and staff.
Interactive activity, group discussion, and problem-solving scenarios were organized to help monitors understand practical situations they might encounter which was conducted by Mrs Y Sushila facilitator from the Physics Department.Motivational video was presented by Mrs Y Sushma facilitator from Mathematics Department which helped creating a motivating and inspiring ambience.
Monitors and Junior prefects were handed over with leaflets which outlined their duties, code of conduct, and monthly reporting system
Students expressed enthusiasm about their new responsibilities. The programme concluded with a group photo and a vote of thanks.
