Indian culture and heritage are indeed vast and diverse, ancient tapestry of traditions, beliefs, languages, religions, artforms, and social practices that have evolved over millennia.
We the Foundation Wing of Ramadevi Public School celebrated No Bag Day with a theme "Heritage and Culture" on 14th August, 2025 in a grand and festive way. A wide array of events and programmes were designed to foster creativity, build social skills and promote cultural awareness among students.
Children look so vibrant in colourful costumes, dressed up like little Krishna and Radha, and in other traditional attires. They were so excited to learn about different customs and traditions of our country.
Age-appropriate activities were planned and involved the students in making of National Flag, National Symbols - Collage art for Pre - Primary. Conducted competitions like Show and Tell on National Symbols, and Picture Talk on National leaders for classes 1 & 2. These activities provide a platform for children to express their creativity, imagination and boost their confidence.
A wonderful skit was performed by class 1 students titled "A Trip Through Time - Discovering India's Treasures" it took everyone on a magical journey of India cultural treasures and the energy continued with a ramp walk where the students dressed in colourful costumes representing various states of India. It was a fantastic way to learn about our country with the sense of pride. Finally, the vibrant celebration of the cultural festival Krishna Ashtami celebrations held in Pre - Primary lawn. The little Krishna's were enthusiastically participated in Dahi Handi breaking and Radha's mesmerized with their graceful dance steps. It was a joyous and memorable day for everyone.
These cultural activities play a crucial role in the holistic development of students, integrating cultural learning into the curriculum help them to nurture well - rounded individuals with strong social and emotional skills along with academic growth.
