On 1st October 2024, the primary students at Ramadevi Public School joyously celebrated the colourful Bathukamma festival in the school ground. The girls, along with their teachers, enthusiastically crafted a stunning Bathukamma using vibrant local flowers like Gunuka, Tangedu, Banti, and Nandi vardhanam, each with their own special medicinal properties. They carefully arranged layers of flowers created a beautiful and mesmerizing display. Dressed in their traditional, colourful attire, the students gathered in the open area, dancing and singing cheerful folk songs around the Bathukamma. The atmosphere was filled with energy and excitement, truly capturing the essence of Telangana's rich cultural traditions.
Our principal Ma’am Mrs. Qamar Sultana was present at the event and expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the students and faculty, recognizing their efforts in fostering togetherness and nurturing the students' creativity, thus reflecting the true spirit of Telangana's culture.
Simultaneously, the school observed a "no bag day" aimed at alleviating students from the burden of carrying heavy bags and fostering skill development through diverse activities including jam sessions, drawing and colouring sessions, pot painting and Floral Rangoli. These activities were designed to augment students' presentation, oratory, critical thinking, creativity, and motor skills. The students delivered a diverse array of presentations, thereby contributing to the enhancement of these skills.
