Every time you eat a fruit is an opportunity to nourish your body and health.To bring awareness of the importance and consumption of fruits in a regular diet, the twinkling stars of kindergarten celebrated ‘Fruits Day’ on 06 th January. The occasion was to teach children about the health benefits of Fruit-Nature’s most fantastic food.
The tiny tots also learnt more about the taste, smell, colour and texture of each fruit. Children were also sensitized towards the importance of washing fruits before eating/cooking and about the benefits of eating fresh fruits.
Watching the little ones carrying a fruit for salad-making activity was a pleasant sight. Teachers demonstrated the process of washing the fruits, peeling, cutting, and mixing all the different fruits and the yummy fruit salad was ready to relish. Children also coloured the pictures of fruits as a part of the classroom activity.
In a nutshell, kids were found to be quite thrilled and were positive on the fact that fruits are better than junk foods.
