I want to share my experience about the grils orientation programme. First of all, I need to thank all the teachers for spending their precious time and presenting us with an useful girls orientation programme every year. This time the orientation was different from the precious ones. There was a demo enacted about women’s safety, importance of our school uniform, sport’s uniform, language and discipline and good touch-bad touch. The lecture was so motivating. For the first time I think everyone looked forward to the next event in the orientation.
With the help of the act, we could understand every point very clearly. It was very informative. Lalitha ma’am and Hemalatha ma’am were quite knowledgeable, they shared with us the important points on mental health, socio-physical health, importance of cleanliness and the importance of having a positive attitude, and the most important point which I found very helpful was that, they discussed about how to handle the stress during high school. All the rules and points which ma’am explained were found really helpful by all the students.
The power point presentation was attractive and also very informative. They pointed out our flaws and gave us several uselful tips. The video shown by Hemalatha ma’am highlighted the importance about handling the stress in the right way. It was a beneficent video.
To conclude I would like to say that it was a fantastic orientation programme I attended. It helped to change my mindset to a good extent
Orientation is a valuable experience that offers numerous benefits and learning opportunities. Thing we learn’t from girl’s orientation are:-
Organizing an orientation for girls makes them feel comfortable, to address their unique needs, concerns and experience and prepared for success! Also they sahare some suggestions, and problems they are facing, so that we can reach to them and answer them in orientation itself. It set’s a positive tone, establishing supportive and inclusive tone for the academic year, addressing specific needs about topics like menstrual hygiene, body positivity and self-care. This orientation helped us to create a focus or motivation to children by creating supportive and inclusive space to connect, share and sense of growth, success and well being.
