Teachers play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. It is impossible to imagine our lives without teachers. They are the cornerstone of our future. We can never thank teachers enough for their immense contribution in a student’s life. Teachers Day is celebrated to show acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers towards their development.

Ramadevi Public School celebrated ‘Teachers Day’ celebrations very exuberantly on 5th September, 2024 which is well known as Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan’s Birth Anniversary and who is a great politician, philosopher, educator, inspirer and a great teacher. His contribution towards Indian education is undeniable.

Special assembly on Teachers Day was organised with incredible gusto and zeal by the students of class -1 and 2. The programme began with a prayer, followed by informative and inspirational speech by student to express their gratitude on behalf of all students. Students performed a melodious musical song dedicated to teachers, creating a warm and appreciative atmosphere. A captivating dance performance was presented by students, show casting their creativity and dedication in celebrating the occasion. The event commenced with an enthusiastic entry to students and teachers, setting a lively tone for the celebration. After that Academic co-ordinator Mrs. Swapna addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of Teachers Day. The messaged conveyed deep appreciation for the teachers’ commitment and their impact on student lives, reinforcing the value of their hard work.

The day was observed as ‘No Bag Day’ allowing the students to participate in activities without the usual academic load.

Three activities were conducted to enhance their skills.

Desigining a Poster Theme – Teacher’s Day

Students engaged in creating posters with the theme of Teachers’ Day, illustrating their gratitude and creative skills.

Crafting an Eco – friendly Ganesha

An eco- friendly Ganesha idol was crafted as part of the celebrations, prompting environmental consciousness.

Handmade Greeting Card Theme- Teacher’s Day

Students made personalized greeting cards for teachers, adding a personal touch to their appreciation.

Children enjoyed and participated actively in the activities.

Various games were organised, including musical chairs for teachers by students which brought joy and laughter to the event. Teachers even participated in a lively dance performance, showcasing their enthusiasm and camaraderie.

The teachers Day celebration was a resounding success, marked by student and teacher involvement, creative activities, and heartfelt expressions of gratitude. The event effectively honoured the dedication of teachers and fostered a positive and celebratory environment.

All in all, it was celebration mode for everyone!
