Ramadevi Public School has always been pivotal at implementing innovative learning methods. The Young Scientist Innovation Challenge is one such initiative. The event was organized in the campus from 7th to 9th November, 2022, incorporating all the disciplines of science: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Home Science and Computer Science.
The event was inaugurated by Mrs. Brihathi, Director, ETV Bharat and alumni of Ramadevi Public School, was accompanied by Dr. Ravi Chandrasekhar, Trustee : Ramadevi Trust, Vice President Agro Division, Ramoji Film City and Mrs. QamarSultana, Vice Principal, Ramadevi Public School.
The campus was bubbling with the spirit of enthusiasm and excitement. Around 300 students participated in the event from classes 6 to 10. There were displays of wonderful working models, projects and innovative real life applications of the scientific concepts. The budding Scientists of the campus were eager to explain various concepts that they worked upon, they were keen to elaborate the applications and implementations of scientific concepts in real life situations …it was endearing to learn from them how science pervades every layer of our existence. From rare genetic disorders to healthy and nutritious food variants, from chemical traffic signals to applications of Newton's law, from metaverse to burglar alarm…everything was on display. The zeal and enthusiasm that they displayed was rather contagious.
The ripples of enthusiasm spread further with the parents becoming a part of the exhibition as they witnessed the displays and cheered for the participants on the 12th of November. It's aptly said that true learning happens through experience and that leads to the greater joy of self awareness.
